Named after two puppets from Irish children's television, Zig Zag is the only not quite Irish bar in Japan where you can enjoy a tasty meal and a beer & still have change from 2000 yen. We have the cheapest Guinness on tap in Japan as well as a lovely Belle-Vue Kriek lambic and Hoegaarden White, free WiFi, & although we aren't officially a whiskey bar, a most excellent whiskey selection.

Something of a síbín, this is a cash bar - please order at the bar and pay at the time of your order. Relax, savour a Chimay, sip a damn fine coffee, sink 6 pints, pray before the whiskey shrine, share a pitcher or if you just flunked one of Yamasa's notorious tests, drown your sorrows in a nomihoudai. Nobody is going to come along and hassle you into ordering something else. There is no table charge, no "charm" charge, no charges for live music nights. Feel free to move about, sit outside with a cocktail under the stars, and make a few new friends.

  • Beverage Menu etc (we have 100's of different beers and a fully stocked bar. We even have a cellar.)

  • Food Menu etc (Damn fine snacks, "Kick Ass Sammiches", Pizzas, "Declan cuisine")

  • "Work is the curse of the drinking class." - Oscar Wilde
